As 2009 winds down, I find myself proudly reflecting on the progress, stellar customer service, and innovative design that we have celebrated here at Finch Jewelers this year.
Among our achievements in 2009, we have made the final transition from Brent L. Millers Jewelers Workshop to Finch Jewelers. As many of you know, I bought the company from Brent in 2001. Hiring my accomplished Graduate Gemologist daughter Jessica and son-in-law Dan the “Laser Guru”, I brought in the second generation of family into our business. Overtime, as our family-owned and operated business flourished, we gradually changed the name of the store from Brent I. Miller Jewelers Workshop to Jewelers Workshop, and finally, to Finch Jewelers. For us, Finch Jewelers is more than a name. Finch Jewelers is where our family unites our passion for world class craftsmanship with our dedication to bringing affordable luxury to our customers.
As owner of Finch Jewelers, I have placed great importance on staying current with cutting edge technology in the custom jewelry field. Using computer-generated design in the form of a matrix program and a very accurate and advanced wax model, we are able to ensure that our design matches the vision of the customer precisely. As the technology is constantly evolving, I have prioritized continuing education for both myself and my staff. This year, I had the honor of being accepted into an elite Grand Master Class at the world-renowned GRS training center. Attending the Grand Master Class in Micro-Pavé Diamond Setting put me in a world class of diamond setters.
This year, our staff has enjoyed exceeding our customers’ expectations on a daily basis. Jessica has truly flourished in her role as sales manager and appraiser. She takes great joy in meeting with our customers and ensuring that they have an excellent experience. Marc, our top designer, has grown and excelled this year. His friendly, personal demeanor makes for a relaxed, enjoyable consultation with our customers. Combining his experience and talent with the creative vision of the customer, signature masterpieces are created flawlessly. Bonnie has worked for 26 years in the jewelry business and has continued to surpass the expectations of our customers. She thrives on uniting her customers with that perfect piece with “wow” factor. Our staff takes great pride in our customer relationships and their experiences, making Finch Jewelers a welcoming, first-rate jeweler.
Even though the struggling economy has been in the news lately, at Finch Jewelers we had a banner year. We believe this was strongly due to our unrivaled services at our family-owned store.
